What is Nandrolone Phenylpropionate?
Nandrolone phenylpropionate, also known under the brand name Durabolin, has the active ingredient nandrolone. Nandrolone phenylpropionate has a shorter half-life (2-4 days) than nandrolone decanoate or Deca (7-10 days). That is why nandrolone phenylpropionate acts shorter than Deca.
According to experienced athletes, this drug causes much less water retention, and for this reason it is more compatible with "androgens" than nandrolone decanoate, although, in theory, this depends on the dose and predisposition, because the active ingredient in phenylpropionate and decanoate is the same - nandrolone.
The ether chain of Phenylpropionate is approximately 2 times shorter than that of decanoate, due to which the active substance is absorbed into the blood faster and has a shorter exposure time to the body. Therefore, phenylpropionate has its advantages: 1 - the shorter duration of action significantly reduces the frequency of side effects of nandrolone. 2 - in the event of side effects or poor tolerance, the course can be discontinued and all undesirable reactions will quickly disappear.
The only drawback of phenylpropionate is the need for frequent injections, but it cannot be called significant.
Nandrolone metabolites are excreted from the body for a long time. 16-18 months - the timing of phenylpropionate detection, and 18-24 months - decanoate. Therefore, nandrolone preparations are not recommended for competitive athletes.
